To ensure your new driveway lasts it’s important to carry out the proper preparation. 

For the block paving we need to dig out the area to be paved

Level and lay the hardcore ensuring it is again leveled and compacted.

Lay a weed proof membrane, lay the sharp sand, level and compact.

Install the edgings - various edgings can be used, block paving is an ideal material.

Lay the main blocks.

Using kiln dried sand, brush into all the joints - this allows for the movement of the vehicles without damaging the blocks.

Sweep away any excess sand - any that is left will be dispersed by the wind or rain.
